OomerBot offers a simple and streamlined way to create tokens directly on the Base Chain. Here’s a step-by-step guide to setting up your token, with options for adding a tax rate and a tax pool.

1. Accessing the Token Creator Dashboard

To start, navigate to the Token Creator Dashboard in OomerBot. Here, you can manage all token-related actions, including creating new tokens or editing tokens you have previously created.

  • Create a Token: Select the “Create Token” button to begin setting up a new token.

2. Enter the Token Details

OomerBot will prompt you to provide key details for your new token:

  • Token Name: Enter a name for your token. This name will be displayed alongside the token symbol on the blockchain.

  • Token Symbol: Provide a symbol for your token (e.g., “ABC” for “ABC Token”). This symbol should be unique and represent your token on exchanges.

  • Tax Rate (Optional): Enter the tax rate in basis points if you want to apply a tax to your token transactions. A basis point (bps) is equivalent to 0.01%, so a rate of 500 basis points represents a 5% tax.

    • No Tax Option: If you don’t want to include a tax rate, simply enter 0.

  • Tax Pool Address (Optional): If your token includes a tax, enter the address where the tax will be collected. This is typically a wallet or contract address designated to receive the tax revenue.

    • No Tax Pool: If there is no tax rate, you can leave this field blank.

3. Review and Confirm

After providing all necessary details, OomerBot will display a confirmation screen summarizing your token’s information, including the name, symbol, tax rate, and tax pool (if applicable). Verify each detail before confirming, as changes can’t be made once the token is created.

  • If everything looks correct, confirm the creation to deploy the token.

4. Token Creation Success

Once the token is successfully created, you’ll receive a message with a transaction hash confirming deployment on the Base Chain. Here’s a sample confirmation message:

Token created successfully!
Transaction hash: [hash link]
Symbol: test
Name: test
Tax Rate: 0.02%
Tax Pool: 0xcdE172dc5ffC46D228838446c57C1227e0B82049
Token Address: 0xeD5d00aE5002dd1d11404071419B178c5b254339

Note: The contract address will be displayed for reference. You can always return to the Token Creator Dashboard to manage or edit this token.

Managing Tokens on the Launchpad

The Launchpad allows you to view and edit tokens you have created:

Editing Your Token Information

After successfully creating a token with OomerBot, you have the option to make adjustments to its tax rate, mint additional tokens, or change the tax pool address directly from the Token Creator Dashboard. Refer to the image below for the layout of the editing options:

The following options are available for modifying your token:

  1. Change Tax Rate: Adjust the tax rate for your token if necessary. Note that the new rate must be specified in basis points (bps). For example, entering 500 would set a 5% tax rate.

  2. Mint Tokens: Use this option to mint additional tokens as needed. Be mindful of your tokenomics when minting new tokens, as it affects the total supply and circulating volume.

  3. Change Tax Pool Address: Update the address where tax funds are collected. This could be a new wallet or contract address that receives a percentage of each transaction.

  4. Back: Return to the main Token Creator Dashboard without making any changes.

These editing features provide flexibility in managing your token, allowing you to make essential updates as needed. Simply select the desired option and follow the prompts to implement the changes.

Troubleshooting & FAQs

  • Token Not Displaying Correctly: Ensure all fields are entered correctly, as any errors may prevent the token from being recognized on the blockchain.

This guide should help you quickly and confidently create a new token with OomerBot. Let us know if you have any questions, and happy tokenizing!
